Muse Vineyards recently began a new collaboration with Woodstock Brewhouse using Muse Vineyards Petit Verdot grapes to brew a new beer, the Monarch’s Muse. The proceeds from this special collaboration beer will benefit the Friends of the Seven Bends State Park in Woodstock. Read the article in the Northern Virginia Daily.

Muse Vineyards Petit Verdot 2020 Wins Best in Class & Platinum at the 2024 Boston Wine Competition
At the 2nd annual event which commenced on November 3, 2023 at the Boston Wine Competition, Petit Verdot 2020 won Best in Class & Platinum medals, endowing prestige for exceptionalism in its class. Petit Verdot scored highly in the judging criteria of quality and diversity to receive this award.
The Boston Wine Competition showcases wine diversity across the globe, spotlighting wines that earn renowned recognition. Judges score wines highly, based on the winemaker’s ability to balance the art and science of winemaking, while making sound, quality wines that consumers will love.
Raye Bouschet, Executive Director and co-founder of the Boston Wine Competition says, “Our competition celebrates wines that capture the essence of art and science in the glass, from vine to bottle. This competition not only analyzes quality, but places emphasis on what differentiates it from the pack. We’re on a mission to showcase winemakers that express grape and regional diversity and celebrate what each winemaker brings to the table.”
The judging panel at the competition was made up of sommeliers, buyers, and writers with extensive commercial buying responsibility. During the judging stage, judges determined which entries were worthy of a platinum, gold, silver, or bronze medal. Entries that received a gold medal from all judges on a panel earned a platinum award. On the final day of the competition, platinum and gold winners advanced to the sweepstakes round to determine Best in Class and Best in Show winners.

The Boston Wine Competition is the first of its kind, balancing the art and science of winemaking. The intent is to showcase wine diversity across the globe, spotlighting wines that earn renowned recognition. Muse Vineyards recently began collaboration with Mount Vernon to apply a unique label to a selection of Muse Vineyards wines. Muse and Mt Vernon share a special association dating back to Colonial times; the Muse family has been neighbors of the Washington family since 1640. Read the article by Josette Keelor.
