Road to Rose
Rosé – however you wish to pronounce it Ro-Say or Ro-Zay – has gone, in the past few years, from being little regarded to the fastest growing segment of the global wine trade. We offer some opinions on this phenomenon, and comment on various styles. We discuss the various grapes we use in Muse rosés as we walk through our vineyards.
We will visit the winery for a discussion of how rosé is made and the choices available to the small production winemakers who craft the finest rosés. (French Bandols made from the Mourvedre grape, exemplify such wines). We describe the various methods we employ in crafting our rosés. Among those methods are vin gris, saignée and other traditional rosé fermentation techniques. Throughout, our goal is a handcrafted, non-industrial product that begins in the vineyard and ends in your glass.
At the end of our presentation we will return to the tasting room to taste the following Muse Rosés: Nebbiolo, Urania (our Aglianico and Sangiovese blend), Cabernet Franc, and a Vin Gris made from Gamay. Accompanying these wines will be small plate creations from our chef.
(Tickets ARE Required. Purchase HERE)

Typewriter Poet

With Ink: Typewriter Poetry is a collective of poets who craft stories on vintage typewriters.  Choose a topic – a favorite word, a cherished memory, a wild idea – and watch our poet transform it into an amazing typewritten poem right before your eyes!

Joseph, aka The Walking Mall Poet has been Winchester, VA’s street poet for the past year and has been published in collections in Virginia and New York. His poetry often revolves around the themes of infinity and eternity, often seizing on the idealism of the beautiful moments in our lives and striving to make even the smallest of requests shine like the sun.
